LISA KYRIAKIDOU

Born in Cyprus. Studied in London at the Royal Academy of dance where she was granted the Licentiate and Teaching Diploma of the RAD. At the RAD she was honored with two awards in anatomy and history of dance. In 2002 she founded Ballet Arts. The school uses the two most recognized dance education systems the RAD and ISTD. She has been acting as an RAD Ambassador in Greece for the CPD from 2015 to 2019. She is a Mentor and Practical teaching Supervisor for the long distance program CBTS (certificate in Ballet teaching studies). She is a member of the Hellenic Region of the RAD and has also served as vice president of the committee from 2019 to 2022. She is also member of ΣΙΣΧΕ, Greek national committee of dance school owners. She has the license to teach progressive ballet technique PBT, completed the 14 hour Basic First Aid training of the Greek Red Cross and annually attends 20 hours of seminars and independent activities for the continuing professional development of the RAD. Before settling in Greece she taught in London at headquarters of the RAD, in USA at the University of Reno Nevada and in private schools. In Cyprus she taught ballet and “dance and movement therapy” in private schools and opened her own ballet school.

Liza is also a certified life coach, specializing in working with teenagers and artists of all genres to build confidence and overcome challenges to achieve their goals.

She lives in Glyfada and has three daughters Manuella, Marilyn and Emmelia.

THERESA BROWN

 

She was born in 1965 in Lyndhurst, England and studied Classical and Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Theatre and Music at the Arts Educational School in England. She continued her studies at the “Royal Academy of Dance” in London and graduated in 1985 with the titles L.R.A.D. (Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance) and A.R.A.D. (Advanced of the Royal Academy of Dance). She has been a member of the “Academy” since 1982 and a “Tutor” since 2006 delivering R.A.D seminars for students and teachers. She worked as a Classical Ballet Teacher at the Hammond School (Chester, England) and choreographed for the Musical “Joseph’s Technicolor Dream – coat” and for the theatrical productions “Tess of the Derbaville’s” and “Othello”. Since 1988, when she came to Greece, she worked as a Classical Ballet Teacher at the Higher Professional Dance Schools of Sophie Katsoulis, Anna Petrova, and Niki Kontaxaki. Since 2000 she has been teaching Classical Ballet at the State School of Orchestral Art (K.S.O.T.) in the Pre-Professional and Professional Departments. At the School of Olias Stefanidou she has been a member of the teaching staff since the establishment of the School in 1998 where, in addition to the regular courses of the School, she gives specialized private lessons to students who want to take examinations for professional diplomas. She also teaches at the “Summer Seminars” organized by the School in order to prepare those interested for the Entrance Examination of the Ministry of Culture. Since 1993-1997 she has been a member of the Advisory Panel of the Greek Association of the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) and continues to be a member of the Association. She collaborated with Valerie Aitkin as “assistant repetiteur” in 2005 (Nutcracker) and 2006 (Graduation Ball) in the performances of the Young Dancers Group. From time to time he has choreographed for theatre productions, and in 2004 he worked as “assistant repetiteur” for the ballet “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” presented by “La Scala Milano” at the Herodion. She has been married in Greece since 1989, where she lives permanently.

KATERINA LIAPI

 

She was born in Athens. From an early age she was involved in sports and then she was won over by dance. Holder of the British Educational Society (ISTD) FDI, CDE diplomas in Imperial Classical Ballet and Modern Theatre Dance, Contemporary Dance from ISTD and the Dance Association BDQT and a teaching diploma in Progressing Ballet Technique. Since 2003 until today she has been attending special seminars and dance courses in Greece and abroad, some of them (“Musical Theater Jazz, Modern dance, Birth College”, “Musikokinetic education (Maria Kynigou Flamboura)”, “Hip Hop, Locking, Pooping (France)”, House Dance, Modern Technical, Urban Styles (Impus Tanz Vianna), Contemporary dance (Aimelia Bennett, Tassos Bekiaris, Vangelis Zarkadas, Afroditi Verveniotis), Rhythm section / tim Emotion (with Michalis Havantas), Street Dance and Commercial Hip Hop Masterclass (Dennis Victory, I. S.T.D) ). In 2008 she danced with the group “Sybration” and in 2013 she was honored by the 1 high school of Glyfada for the artistic creation in the charity festival “LYSISTRATEIA”. In 2015 she organized a charity dance night entitled “Disco night” where the proceeds were donated to the organization “Ark of the World”. Since 2005 she has been teaching Modern theater dance, classical ballet, theater jazz, hiphop, street jazz in recognized dance schools, schools and seminars.

She founded the amateur dance group “FootPrints Dance Project” that participates in National , Panhellenic and International dance competitions from 2017 to date, winning first and second places. In 2019 at the International Competition, IBCDC Italia Lecce Gala, in Italy, the team won 4th place, in the Contemporary Duet category. In 2022 the team won the first place in the national competition of classical and contemporary dance in the category “Contemporary Group Adults” with a score of 92%.

MAIRI KOKKALI

She started dancing at an early age by taking ballet lessons, RAD system and modern ISTD system, acquiring the Advanced 2 degree in modern. She has a degree in teaching DDI and DDE of ISTD in modern. She has also been occupied with hip hop and musical and has attended seminars in Greece and abroad (England, Scotland). She has taken part in dance performances as a dancer and as a choreographer as well and was a member of the “footprints dance project”, while teaching modern, hip hop and jazz since 2011.

NATASHA STRATIGOU

Born in 1987 in Athens.
She is a graduate of the Department of Sociology of Panteion University. She holds the Royal Academy of Dance Teaching Diplomas in classical dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in modern dance. She holds the European First Aid Diploma of the Hellenic Red Cross. She has volunteered her time to the non-profit organization “Doctors of the World”. She has attended training seminars in classical and contemporary dance, dance therapy, theatrical play, creative dance for pre-school children, child and adolescent psychology.
For the last 10 years she has been teaching classical and modern dance, jazz and hip hop in recognized dance schools in Athens.
